A Jarvis rail worker who was laid off after the firm went into administration plans to shame Labour by standing in the general election, according to a report in the Sheffield Star.
Bill Rawcliffe, from York, will be backed financially by the RMT union for his campaign in Ed Miliband's Doncaster North seat.
The union is angry that Labour did not intervene to save the company's jobs, which will affect 300 people at the Doncaster depot.
