BAM wins £250m Camden BSF contract

12 May 10 The London Borough of Camden has named Bam Construction as the preferred bidder for its £250m Building Schools for the Future (BSF) contract.

The London Borough of Camden has named Bam Construction as the preferred bidder for its £250m Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

The contractor saw off competition from rival shortlisted bidder Bouygues, according to Education Investor.

A statement from Camden Council said: “The council has now finished appraising the two bids for its BSF programme and a recommendation has been made for the appointment of Bam PPP UK as its preferred bidder.

“This has yet to be confirmed and the final award of contract will be subject to approval of the final business case by councillors in July.”

Construction work on the BSF programme, which involves rebuilding three schools and refurbishing a further eight across the borough, is expected to start in September 2010.
