18 Aug 10 The London Borough of Greenwich is looking for a partner to undertake the redevelopment of three estates in Woolwich, south London.

The London Borough of Greenwich is looking for a partner to undertake the redevelopment of three estates in Woolwich, south London.

The three estates, Connaught, Morris Walk, plus Maryon Grove and Maryon Road, cover 12 hectares of land surrounding Woolwich Town Centre.

The work required includes: demolition of existing homes that are no longer fit for purpose, transformation of the estates from single- into mixed-tenure, and improvement of physical links with the wider community.

The development partner will be responsible for the design and delivery of new housing units on, including associated development and infrastructure.

The new homes will include affordable housing, intermediate rent and sale, as well as units for private sector sale. The council expects the project will deliver upwards of 1,500 new homes.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 30 September.
