Three contractors have been picked for a £200m housing upgrade deal with Merton Priory Homes.

Apollo, Wates and Vinci will tackle decent homes and planned improvement works over a 10-year period.

The works include: kitchen and bathroom replacements; roofing; external and internal repairs and decorations; electrical rewires and upgrades; structural works; asbestos management; demolition and renewal of pram sheds and garages.

The contract has been divided into three lots:

  • Lot 1, covering Mitcham, is worth £72m and was awarded to Apollo.
  • Lot 2, covering Merton, is valued at £68 and will be tackled by Wates.
  • Lot 3, covering Wimbledon, is worth £60m and was picked up by Vinci.

Merton Priory Homes is a Special Purpose Vehicle created to manage the London Borough of Merton’s housing stock of 6,378 tenanted and 2,550. It is part of the Circle Anglia Group.
