Just like CESAR, the Construction & Agricultural Equipment Security and Registration Scheme, Micro CESAR is the initiative of the Construction Equipment Association (CEA), working with technology firm Datatag ID.
The Micro CESAR identity system gives each piece of equipment a unique RFID tag and a warning/registration label with an integrated QR code. This makes tools trackable which not only help deter and combat theft but can also aid inventory management.
CESAR is credited with reducing the theft of larger construction equipment by 70% since it was launched in 2007.
