Bloomberg has commissioned architects Foster + Partners to design the building, which will house 500,000 sq ft of office space. Bloomberg also plans a second, speculative office building on the 3.2 acre site, which has planning consent for 948,000 sq ft of offices.
If plans area approved, construction could begin in early 2012, with completion in 2015. Bloomberg has 2,300 employees at its current offices in Finsbury Square and has been looking for a larger UK base.
