The contract includes completion of employer's design and demolition of existing structures before work on the station itself.
The main construction elements are:
- installation of piling and foundations
- installation of precast columns, beams and slabs, and steel columns and beams to the main station structure
- construction of the concrete entrance structure, as a combination of in situ and precast units, with steel columns and beams above
- construction of the last section of the new ExCel exhibition centre connection, as a steel column and beam structure, installation of precast, post-tensioned concrete beams to form the footbridge connection across Victoria Dock Road
- installation of the roof structure over the erected station structure
- installation of precast columns, beams and slabs, and steel columns and beams to the main station structure
- installation and fit of the lifts to the main station structure
- fit out of the plant rooms and station accommodation.
The time limit for receipt of requests to participate is 19 December.
