London Square has bought a former office building in Eastcote village in the London Borough of Hillingdon.

It is the developer’s 11th site and takes the value of its pipeline to more than £500m.

The one-acre site is on Eastcote High Street, 300 metres from Eastcote underground station.

London Square purchased the site with planning permission to create a £15m residential scheme of 42 apartments accessed via private gates from the High Street. There will be underground car parking space. Work will start in September this year and the development is expected to be complete in early 2015.

London Square managing director Brian Betsy said: “There is a very buoyant local sales market in suburban northwest London at the moment, which we have experienced first-hand at our Ruislip development where we have sold 70% of the scheme off-plan since the end of January. Buying this site with planning permission will allow us to start work as soon as possible and capitalise on the strong demand.”

London Square, founded in 2010, is aiming to build more than 600 homes a year within the next five years.
