The building has been designed by John McAslan + Partners as two concrete-framed finger blocks set either side of a continuous four-storey-high atrium ‘street’.
The building will have 4,750m2 of workshop, laboratory and office space. It is aiming to be the second BREEAM Outstanding building on the campus, and combines multiple renewable energy sources including solar, wind and biomass provisions.
