Mr Jeffries spent most of his career with Atkins and headed it for 10 years. He is now chairman of mental healthcare provider Priory Group, and telecoms provider Wyless plc. In recent years he has also been chairman of car parking company NCP; Wembley National Stadium Ltd; shipbuilding and support services organisation VT Group, which was acquired by Babcock in 2011; and specialist systems and business process services company Civica.
