The static EasyCabin eco28 unit has PIR activated LED lighting, carbon monoxide detector, blown air thermostatically controlled heating, thermostatically controlled hot water and intelligent generator charging technology.
The units’ 12-volt batteries are monitored by a control system and are charged automatically to their optimum level by the integral diesel generator. When the optimum charge is reached, the generator is turned off, keeping usage to a minimum and reducing costs.
Hewden calculates that, based upon a 50-hour working week, this offers annual savings of up to £5,967 in fuel costs, £1,250 in maintenance costs and a reduction of over 17,901kg in CO2 emissions, when compared to an 11.5kVA generator at 100% usage with fuel at 90p per litre.
The cabins offer a plant room, toilet, washing facilities, canteen area for up to eight people, drying room and office.
Also available is the smaller mobile version, the EasyCabin eco12, which provides canteen facilities for up to five people with a separate toilet and drying room.
Constructed from composite panels, the 12-volt eco12 has an unladen weight of just 1600kg and has a hydraulically-lowered axle to reduce the risk of theft.
