The figures from the Census & Statistics Department record the total gross value of construction works performed by the main contractors. After discounting the effect of price changes, the total gross value rose 4.6% in real terms.
The gross value of construction works performed at private-sector sites totalled HK$14.9bn, up 8.1% in nominal terms
For public sector sites, the value increased 6.1% in nominal terms to HK$18bn. In real terms it increased 1.0%.
