Propelled by strong growth in the housing market this year, Barratt and Taylor Wimpey join the ranks of the 100 biggest UK publicly listed companies, by market value.
They replace IMI and Petrofac.
Amec Foster Wheeler, newly created from Amec’s recent acquisition of Foster Wheeler, is just outside the FTSE 100 on the reserve list.
The changes take effect on 22nd December 2014.
