Miller recruits new directors

12 Sep 13 Miller Construction has recruited three new directors within its southeast and Scotland regional business units.

Steve Cresswell has been appointed as area director in the southeast region with specific responsibility for the Improvement & Efficiency South East [iESE] framework and other selected clients.

Mr Cresswell joins from Morgan Sindall Construction, where he was latterly area manager for the southeast. He may see some familiar faces in his new job. Earlier this year Miller recruited Stephen Scard from Morgan Sindall to be its southeast regional managing director, as well as Nick Salt to head up its rail business.

In Scotland Miller Construction has appointed Scott Alexander as area director.  He joins from Morrison Construction where he was commercial director.  Before this he was managing director of Marshall Construction.

Also joining the Scotland business unit is technical director Martin Smith, who has moved from Graham Construction where he most recently held the position of framework manager.

Miller Construction chief executive Chris Webster said: “We are delighted with these new additions to our senior management teams.  Each new director will have responsibility within his region to help drive forward our business strategy, which sees us focussing our efforts on selected markets whilst promoting Miller as an ‘end-to-end’ property solutions provider, supporting whole-life development and asset management for both private and public sectors.  Their wealth of knowledge and experience will be a real asset to our business.”
