Maverick Industries, based in Poole, Dorset, specialises in the design and construction of skate parks – and it lays claim to more followers on social media that any of the nation’s construction giants.
We reported last week on an analysis that had been conducted on the social media reach of the top contractors. With its combined Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram following, Balfour Beatty came out on top with a total reach of nearly 60,000 followers. [See our previous report here.]
However, Maverick Industries can trump that with more than 80,000 followers– mostly on Facebook.
Director Mark Clogg said: “We may not be on the scale of Balfour Beatty but we are commonly regarded as the UK's finest skate park provider, designing and building in-situ free form concrete skate parks throughout the land.
“We may be small in terms of staff numbers but we do have in excess of 75,000 followers on Facebook, 1500+ followers on Twitter and 6,400 Instagram followers. We cannot stress how important social media is to our business model.”
