Tasked by Mechanical Installation Heating Services (MIH LTD) to specify a suitable solution for the new building at Mucknell Abbey, Polypipe Terrain supplied its Terrain Acoustic dB12 drainage solution, a triple-layer pipe system with acoustically insulated fittings designed to reduce the effect of noise. Terrain Acoustic dB12 not only meets the sound performance required by Building Regulations but substantially exceeds it, making it ideal for this project where noise control was a key factor.

Silence is of the upmost importance in a monastery, so right from the design stage we needed to ensure that the products we used would reduce internal noise.
