It has bought 150 of the VB9 lighting sets from Tower Light UK to double the size of its VB9 fleet. It also has more than 300 VT1 lighting towers.
“Our VT1 fleet is well utilised and it remains a popular product with our clients,” said CW Plant’s Graham Pollard. “However, we opted to increase our investment in the VB9 sets as we have been impressed with the fuel saving benefits of the VB9 along with its impressive array of environmentally biased credentials.”
The VB9 has a 170-litre capacity fuel tank with a running time between refuelling of 340 hours or once a month. Although it has a small, less thirsty, diesel engine, it uses electronics to boots metal halide lighting output, with an average light coverage of 3600sqm at 20 Lux.
