Trade-only storage supplier Moresecure has been voted the clear winner of the Storage and Handling Equipment Distributors’ Association’s (SHEDA) 2009 Supplier of the Year title.
With an unprecedented 75% ‘turn out’, the vote delivered more clarity than we’ve seen in other polls of late.
SHEDA members declared the Telford-based company the unrivalled winner of the coveted award for providing consistently excellent service to distributors throughout 2009.
Moresecure, part of the Whittan Group, has taken the number one slot two-years running and has been in the top three suppliers of the year for the last four years.
The award was presented at the 29th SHEDA AGM and awards presentation, which was held again this year at Stratford Manor Hotel in Stratford on Avon.
South Yorkshire pallet racking and storage solutions specialist Redirack, who have been in the top three suppliers three years running took second place in the 2009 awards.
Third place went to Swindon-based secure storage system supplier Troax UK Ltd, who won second place in the 2008 awards.
The SHEDA Shield of Honour, which is presented to the company showing the most improved service over the year, went to Storax Racking Supplies of Hemel Hempstead.
Hedley Brook-Carter, MD of Brook-Carter Associates, celebrated his lifetime achievement award among his SHEDA peers at the prestigious event.
As SHEDA celebrates entering its 30th year, incoming President David Camm of Bingham-based Trent Storage & Design Ltd said: “This has been a challenging year for us all but SHEDA members can congratulate themselves on the way they are pulling through some of the toughest economic times while maintaining standards of excellence that are the hallmark of our members.”
SHEDA awards are presented annually to recognise the outstanding service provided by SHEDA members across the UK and Ireland.
