Safety consultancy appoints principal CDM-C consultant

28 Oct 11 Steel River Consultants, a quality health and safety consultancy has made a strategic appointment to its team based in Teesside, strengthening the company’s position in the field.

Chris Dixon from County Durham, will undertake the roles of safety consultant and CDM Co-ordinator, where duties will include providing construction health and safety advice and the provision of site safety auditing of construction phase health and safety performance.

Formerly a principal consultant with Turner and Townsend, Chris comes from a strong health and safety background having provided services for a large client base on a range of projects, from national rollout schemes, to frameworks and large scale new build construction and refurbishment. Chris is keen become involved in Steel River Consultants’ current projects and aims to champion further business development within the region.

Chris explains,

"I am delighted to have joined Steel River Consultants, which has an excellent reputation in health and safety consultancy support services, especially in onshore and offshore renewable energy sector.

“The varied portfolio of experience on projects I have accumulated during my career to date will provide me with the opportunity to offer Steel River Consultant’s clients a highly professional service.
