Skanska wins Helsinki apartment contract

31 May 17 Skanska has signed an agreement worth €38m (£33m) to build 189 apartments in Helsinki, Finland.

The agreement with Helsinki housing production department ATT involves a three-part housing development called Gustaf Wilhelm. The buildings will mainly be six storeys high. In the centre of the block, there will be an underground car park on top of which there will be a courtyard. The project includes common facilities, such as saunas, as well as commercial facilities.

The apartments will be subsidised by the city of Helsinki and the state of Finland.

Construction work on all the three phases will start this week for completion at the end of November 2019.
