The truck driver realised that his trailer was on fire when driving through the Brattli tunnel on Thursday. He left the trailer in the tunnel 300m from the southern entrance. The fire was still going on the Friday afternoon.
The authorities expect the tunnel to be closed for at least two to three weeks. A contractor has started work on the repairs this week.
