WSP picked for Danish ‘super hospital’

The Odense University Hospital has an area of 234,000m² and a project value of DKK6.3bn (£757m).

The 743-bed, campus-style hospital is one of the first of a new generation of ‘super hospitals’ in Denmark.  In addition to the hospital buildings, it will also include a university faculty building for teaching and medical research.  Construction is planned to start in 2015 with completion due in 2020.

WSP is part of the consortium Medic OUH, working alongside White Architects, KHR Architects, Dall & Lindhardtsen, EKJ Rådgivende Engineers  and Oluf Jorgensen.
