I'm recruiting on behalf of an established, multidisciplinary construction consultancy looking to appoint a Project Manager to join its growing Infrastructure team in London.

This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who wants the backing, resources and project portfolio of a large consultancy, but with the close-knit environment and individual exposure of a much smaller team.

You'll be joining a business with an impressive presence across the built environment, working alongside experienced professionals on a varied portfolio of infrastructure projects, including rail, aviation, civil engineering and Environment Agency schemes.

The Opportunity

As Project Manager, you'll have the opportunity to manage your own projects while supporting senior colleagues on larger, more complex infrastructure programmes.

You'll gain exposure across the full project lifecycle, from early planning and development through delivery and close-out, with plenty of opportunity to develop your technical, commercial and client-facing capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing infrastructure projects and supporting the delivery of major programmes.
• Taking ownership of smaller projects, ensuring successful delivery against agreed objectives.
• Coordinating project teams, monitoring progress and managing key milestones.
• Developing and maintaining project management plans, programmes and reporting.
• Building relationships with clients, consultants and wider project stakeholders.
• Identifying project risks, managing change and supporting effective decision-making.
• Working closely with senior colleagues to develop your experience across increasingly complex projects.

What I'm Looking For

I'm keen to speak with Project Managers who have gained experience within a construction consultancy environment and have an interest in developing their career within infrastructure.
Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous construction project management experience within a consultancy.
• Exposure to infrastructure sectors such as rail, aviation, civil engineering or Environment Agency projects.
• Experience managing projects and developing client relationships.
• A working understanding of NEC contracts.
• Knowledge of project programming, planning and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS Office.
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.

Experience of design management, client-side delivery or major infrastructure programmes would also be beneficial.
Just as importantly, my client is looking for someone with the right attitude - someone proactive, commercially aware and keen to develop, who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to play an active part in the team's continued growth.
