A renewable energy and retrofit contractor is recruiting Resident Liaison Officers to support housing retrofit programmes in North and West London. You only need to apply once to be considered for either location.

Role Overview As a Resident Liaison Officer you will be the main point of contact for residents while retrofit and renewable energy works take place in occupied properties. You will explain the planned works, arrange access and appointments, keep residents informed and help resolve any concerns.

You will work closely with project and installation teams, Housing Associations and Local Authorities.

Important Eligibility Information To be considered, you must have:

  • Recent experience as a Resident Liaison Officer, with approximately two years' relevant experience.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Experience working with residents in occupied properties.
Your CV should clearly show your recent RLO experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain planned works and timescales to residents.
  • Arrange appointments, property access and installation dates.
  • Visit residents before, during and after works where required.
  • Keep residents updated on progress, changes and delays.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site managers and installation teams.
  • Liaise with Housing Associations, Local Authorities and other client representatives.
  • Identify residents who need additional support and help put arrangements in place.
  • Handle queries and complaints, escalating issues where needed.
  • Follow up on unsuccessful access attempts.
  • Keep accurate records of communications, appointments, complaints and outcomes.
  • Support handover and gather feedback after works are completed.
Requirements Essential

  • Experience in social housing, planned maintenance, construction or retrofit programmes.
  • Experience dealing directly with residents in occupied properties.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to handle complaints and difficult conversations professionally.
  • Good organisational, IT and administration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
  • Flexibility around working hours when required.
Highly desirable

  • Experience working with Housing Associations or Local Authorities on retrofit, decarbonisation or energy-efficiency programmes.
  • Experience on projects involving Solar PV, Air Source Heat Pumps, insulation or other energy-efficiency measures.
  • Additional languages, particularly Punjabi, Romanian, Polish, Gujarati, Arabic, Urdu, Bengali/Sylheti or Somali.
Pay, Hours and Benefits
  • Salary: £32,000 to £40,000 per year.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with some flexibility required.
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent.
  • Location: North London or West London.
  • Vehicle for business use.

Interview Process Two stages: an initial conversation on Teams, followed by a face-to-face interview in London.
