Technical Support Administrator

Location: Wakefield
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

We are recruiting for a Technical Support Administrator to provide hands-on IT support across a commercial building in Wakefield.

This is a varied role suited to someone with a good understanding of IT who enjoys resolving technical issues, supporting users and helping to ensure day-to-day systems and equipment run smoothly. The employer is primarily looking for someone with relevant IT experience and a proactive approach.

Facilities Management experience would be beneficial but is not required.

Key responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day technical and IT support across both hospital sites
• Acting as a key point of contact for technical queries and issues
• Troubleshooting basic hardware, software and connectivity problems
• Escalating more complex issues to the appropriate team or provider
• Supporting users and providing clear guidance when required
• Maintaining accurate records of issues, actions and outcomes
• Helping to coordinate technical support priorities across both locations
• Ensuring a professional and responsive service is provided

What we're looking for

• Previous experience within IT, technical support, service desk or a similar role
• Confident troubleshooting common IT issues
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities
• Able to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
• A flexible approach to experience and sector background
