The Opportunity We are supporting a training provider looking to build a bank of freelance Associate Electrical Trainers to deliver renewable energy courses on a regular basis.

Trainers will typically be offered 2 to 3 days of work per week, depending on course requirements and availability.

This opportunity would suit an experienced electrical professional with a strong technical background who enjoys sharing their knowledge and supporting others to develop their skills within the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver renewable energy training courses to learners.
  • Share practical electrical knowledge and industry experience in an engaging and accessible way.
  • Explain technical concepts clearly to learners with different levels of experience.
  • Demonstrate appropriate electrical and renewable energy practices.
  • Support learners in developing practical and technical skills.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment.
  • Ensure training is delivered safely and in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to learners throughout the course.
  • Work with the training provider to support the effective delivery of weekly courses.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and stay up to date with relevant renewable energy technologies and industry practices.
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant electrical industry experience.
  • Strong practical electrical knowledge.
  • Experience or knowledge relevant to renewable energy technologies.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly to learners.
  • Professional and reliable approach.
  • Ability to work independently as a freelance trainer.
  • Availability to deliver training in Manchester on a regular basis.
Desirable
  • Previous experience delivering electrical, renewable energy or technical training.
  • Teaching, training or mentoring experience.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications.
  • Experience with renewable technologies such as solar PV, heat pumps or associated electrical systems.
