Salary: £39,000 - £47,000 + Excellent Benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Civil Design Engineer to join a leading, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in London.

The consultancy has a strong reputation for technical excellence and a collaborative approach, with an established project pipeline across sectors including residential, commercial, distribution and technology, including data centres.

This is a great opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to develop their technical experience within a supportive consultancy environment, working on a varied range of development infrastructure projects across the UK.

The Role

As a Civil Design Engineer, you'll be involved in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept through to detailed design and construction.

Working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you'll have the opportunity to develop your technical skills and take increasing responsibility for your own projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Designing highways, drainage and infrastructure for residential, commercial and other development projects

Producing detailed engineering drawings, calculations and technical reports

Assisting with Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports

Working on S278, S38, S104 and S106 infrastructure

Undertaking site levels, earthworks and drainage design

Producing designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Using MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or similar drainage software

Working closely with senior engineers, clients, architects and other multidisciplinary teams

Supporting projects through planning, detailed design and construction

Developing your technical knowledge and working towards professional qualifications

About You

We're looking for a Civil Engineer with some consultancy experience who is keen to develop their career within a technically strong and supportive environment.

Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Ideally 2-5 years' experience in civil infrastructure design within a consultancy environment

Experience working on development infrastructure projects

Good understanding of highways and drainage design

Familiarity with S278, S38, S104 and S106 agreements

Experience using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D

Experience with MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or similar would be advantageous

Good understanding of UK civil engineering design standards

Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills

Working towards IEng or ICE Chartership would be advantageous
