Earthworks/Structures Supervisor

EARTHWORKS / STRUCTURES SUPERVISOR REQUIRED

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Earthworks / Structures Supervisor to join a busy construction project.

The successful candidate will have proven experience supervising construction activities on site, with a strong background in earthworks, structures, civils and general site operations. You will be responsible for ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate day-to-day earthworks and structures activities on site.

Manage and coordinate site operatives, subcontractors and plant.

Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

Monitor productivity, quality and progress of works.

Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and other members of the project team.

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with RAMS and site procedures.

Conduct regular checks to ensure health & safety standards are maintained.

Brief and monitor teams on RAMS, permits and relevant site requirements.

Assist with planning daily and weekly works.

Monitor plant, materials and labour requirements.

Identify and report any issues affecting progress, quality or safety.

Maintain accurate site records and communicate progress to the management team.

Ensure housekeeping and environmental standards are maintained.

Support the Site Manager with the successful delivery of the project.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience as a Supervisor within civil engineering, earthworks or structures.

CSCS Black Card or Gold Card.

SMSTS or SSSTS.

First Aid qualification.

Good understanding of construction health & safety requirements.

Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.

Experience supervising subcontractors and site teams.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Strong understanding of RAMS and safe systems of work.

Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a site management team.

Desirable

Relevant civils/earthworks/structures experience.

Temporary works experience.

Experience working on large infrastructure or major civil engineering projects.

Additional relevant construction qualifications.
