We are recruiting experienced Insulation Installers across three specialist disciplines:

• Cavity Wall Insulation
• Loft Insulation
• Internal Wall Insulation (IWI)

Candidates may specialise in one or more of these areas. You must hold the relevant qualification for the type of insulation work you are applying for.

The Role

You will deliver high-quality insulation installations across residential properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with required technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install insulation to the required specification and quality standards.
• Carry out pre-installation checks and identify potential issues before work begins.
• Follow installation drawings, specifications and manufacturer guidance.
• Ensure ventilation, services and existing building features are protected.
• Complete work in accordance with Building Regulations and relevant retrofit requirements.
• Maintain accurate job records and installation documentation.
• Work safely and maintain a clean and professional working environment.
• Provide a professional service when working in customers' homes.
• Identify and report defects, technical concerns or additional works required.

Qualifications by Role

Cavity Wall Insulation Installer

Candidates should hold:

• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Insulation and Building Treatments (Construction) - Cavity Wall
• Insulation pathway, or recognised equivalent.

You should have practical experience of:

• Cavity wall insulation installation
• Drilling and injection techniques
• Blown or injected insulation systems
• Making good following installation
• Checking ventilation, flues and airbricks
• Identifying properties suitable for cavity wall insulation

Loft Insulation Installer

Candidates should hold:

• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Insulation and Building Treatments (Construction) - Cold Roof/Loft Insulation pathway, or recognised equivalent.

You should have practical experience of:

• Loft and cold-roof insulation installation
• Correct insulation depths and coverage
• Working safely within roof spaces
• Maintaining ventilation requirements
• Insulating around services, tanks, pipework and electrical installations
• Identifying and reporting condensation, damp or ventilation concerns

Internal Wall Insulation Installer

Candidates should hold:

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Insulation and Building Treatments (Construction) - Internal Wall Insulation pathway, or recognised equivalent.

You should have practical experience of:

• Internal Wall Insulation systems
• Insulation boards and associated fixing systems
• Preparing walls and substrates
• Managing junctions, reveals and thermal bridging
• Airtightness and moisture-control requirements
• Finishing and making good following installation

General Requirements

• Candidates should also demonstrate:
• Previous insulation or retrofit experience relevant to their trade
• Good knowledge of health and safety requirements
• Understanding of quality and compliance standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail
• Professional approach when working in occupied properties
• Ability to complete required installation paperwork and evidence
• Full UK driving licence where required
• A valid CSCS card or equivalent is desirable/required depending on the working environment.

Experience working within PAS 2030/PAS 2035 retrofit projects would be highly advantageous.
