We are recruiting experienced Air Source Heat Pump Installers and Plumbers to work across South Manchester and Solihull. Candidates may specialise in either ASHP installation or general plumbing/heating, although experience across both disciplines would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of domestic heating, hot water and plumbing systems.
- Installation and commissioning of Air Source Heat Pump systems where qualified.
- Instalation and alteration of associated pipework, cylinders, radiators and heating components.
- Carry out system upgrades and remedial works.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing and heating faults.
- Complete installations in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, Building Regulations and industry standards.
- Carry out testing, commissioning and completion documentation.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, health & safety and customer service.
- Work professionally within occupied domestic properties.
Qualifications by Role
- Air Source Heat Pump Installer
- Candidates should hold:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Domestic Heating or recognised equivalent
- A recognised Level 3 Air Source Heat Pump qualification, such as BPEC, City & Guilds, EAL, LCL or equivalent
- G3 / Unvented Hot Water qualification
- Water Regulations qualification
You should have practical experience of:
- Air Source Heat Pump installation
- Heating system upgrades
- Cylinders and hot water systems
- Radiators and emitter upgrades
- System flushing, filling and commissioning
- Controls and associated heating components
- Working to MCS installation requirements
- Experience working on MCS-certified installations is highly desirable.
Plumber / Heating Engineer
Candidates should hold:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or recognised equivalent
- Water Regulations qualification
- G3 / Unvented Hot Water qualification
You should have experience of:
- Domestic plumbing and heating installations
- Hot and cold water systems
- Cylinders and unvented hot water systems
- Radiators and heating pipework
- System alterations and upgrades
- Fault finding and repairs
- Testing and commissioning
Previous experience supporting Air Source Heat Pump or renewable heating installations would be advantageous.
General Requirements
- Relevant industry experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong understanding of health and safety
- High standard of workmanship
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional approach when working in customers' homes
- Ability to complete installation and compliance documentation
