Senior Quantity Surveyor - Construction Consultancy

A great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who wants to be part of a team where their contribution genuinely matters.

I'm working with an established construction consultancy in London looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

They're looking for someone who brings more than just technical ability. Of course, a solid grounding in quantity surveying is important, but equally so is attitude, ambition and a genuine desire to contribute to the wider success of the business.

This is an opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of projects, develop strong client relationships and take ownership of your work, whilst being part of a supportive and collaborative team that values its people.
Whether you're an established Senior QS or someone ready to take that next step, they're open to individuals who demonstrate the right potential and mindset.

The Opportunity

You'll be working across multiple projects, providing both pre- and post-contract cost management services to a range of clients.

The role offers plenty of variety, autonomy and the opportunity to get involved in different aspects of project delivery, rather than being tied to one project or sector.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing projects from initial feasibility through to final account.
• Preparing cost plans, estimates and tender documentation.
• Managing procurement, tendering and contract administration.
• Providing commercial advice and cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
• Contributing to the continued growth and development of the business.

What They're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working within a construction consultancy environment.
• A strong understanding of pre- and post-contract quantity surveying.
• Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
• MRICS qualification or actively working towards chartership.
• Good commercial awareness and client-facing skills.
• The confidence to take ownership of projects and work independently when required.

Just as importantly, they're looking for the right person. Someone who is proactive, approachable and enjoys working collaboratively. Someone who wants to continue learning, takes pride in their work and is genuinely interested in growing with the team.
