Senior Project Engineer (Track) Location: Manchester - Hybrid WorkingPay: £368.38 per day PAYEContract: 3 months, with potential to apply for a perm position Hours: 35 hours per weekWorking Pattern: Minimum 3 days per week in the Manchester office or approved project/supplier officesSector: Major Rail Infrastructure Programme

MSS Infrastructure are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Track) to join a major rail infrastructure programme focused on the future development and expansion of the UK rail network.

The role will support a number of major programmes across the Leeds, York and Sheffield areas, with a focus on the early development and design stages of complex rail projects.

The Role You will be working across multiple rail programmes, supporting the development of future infrastructure and capacity improvements.

Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing and assessing track designs produced by suppliers. Working closely with suppliers and design teams to develop designs through to completion. Providing engineering input and helping identify practical solutions. Supporting projects through the early development and design stages. Working across a range of track and rail infrastructure solutions. Maintaining regular contact with suppliers and attending design meetings. Building strong working relationships with suppliers and project stakeholders. Supporting other programmes within the wider portfolio when required. Occasional travel to design offices and supplier locations in Leeds, Birmingham and York. About You We're looking for someone with:

Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer or Track Engineer. Strong experience in rail track design or engineering. Experience reviewing or developing track designs. Experience working with suppliers, contractors and design teams. Previous experience within major rail infrastructure environment is desirable. Experience working on projects during the early development and design phases. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. A collaborative approach and the ability to build good working relationships. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
