Cheshire-based Harbur Construction Limited has gone into administration.

J Irving and A Poxon of Manchester-based Leonard Curtis will serve as administrators of the business, which is based on Ashbrook Office Park in Heald Green.

Harbur Construction describes itself as a leading residential, affordable housing, commercial, retail and leisure developer. A key part of its business model is social housing development throughout the north of England. Principle areas of activity include acquiring land suitable for social housing, obtaining planning permission for schemes and then constructing the schemes in conjunction with the relevant residential provider. A particular area of focus in recent years has been the remediation of brownfield sites in order to deliver affordable developments.
