Szerelmey scoops £278,000 flooring contract at Cambridge University’s laboratory of molecular biology

29 Jul 11 Szerelmey, the stonework and restoration specialist, has won a flooring contract worth £278,503 at Cambridge University’s Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge.

Szerelmey will install 1500 m2 of Jura Limestone in the atrium of the university’s laboratory.

The primary goal of the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) is to understand biological processes at the molecular level, with the ultimate aim of using this knowledge to tackle specific problems in human health and disease. LMB scientists have been awarded nine Nobel prizes and established significant practices such as the sequencing of DNA.

Work will be completed in September 2011. Szerelmey was appointed by BAM Construction, the main contractor for the client Cambridge University.
