Track Operatives & Gangs - Major Track Renewal

Location: Newcastle
Start Date: Friday 23rd October 2026
Duration: 9-day blockade, through to Monday 2nd November 2026
Shift Pattern: 24/7 - Days, Lates & Nights available

MSSI Infrastructure are recruiting experienced Track Operatives and established PTS gangs for a major 1,500m full track renewal taking place during a 9-day blockade in October 2026.

This is a large-scale track renewal project, and we are specifically looking for experienced track staff and established gangs who can hit the ground running.

Successfully completing this blockade could lead to further opportunities and ongoing work with us on future rail projects.

Shift Pattern

Days: 07:00 - 17:00

Lates: 13:00 - 23:00

Nights: 22:00 - 08:00

Required Per Shift

7 x Track Operatives

1 x Ganger

Essential Requirements

PTS

TIC (Track Induction Card)

White Hat - MUST HAVE

Proven experience working on track renewals

Strong knowledge of rail track construction, maintenance and renewal works

Able to work safely and productively with minimal supervision

Reliable and experienced in major rail projects

Established Gangs Wanted

We are particularly interested in established gangs who have worked together previously.

We are not looking for inexperienced or unproven operatives. Given the scale and programme requirements of this project, all workers must be competent, productive and able to integrate into the delivery team from day one.
