Maintenance Assistant / Handyperson

Temporary Contract - 2 Weeks
£14.42 per hour (PAYE)

Daniel Owen are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant / Handyperson on behalf of our client, supporting the engineering team at a large industrial facility in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a hands-on approach and experience carrying out general maintenance and DIY tasks within commercial or industrial environments.

The Role

Working alongside the on-site engineering team, you will provide additional support across the facility, assisting with a variety of general maintenance duties to help ensure the site remains safe, functional, and well maintained.

This is a Monday to Friday position, working 7:00am - 3:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting the engineering team with day-to-day maintenance tasks

Carrying out general DIY and handyperson duties

Supporting with basic repairs and upkeep across the site

Moving materials and equipment as required

Ensuring work areas are kept clean, safe, and organised

Providing general assistance to support the smooth running of the facility

Requirements

Previous experience in a Maintenance Assistant, Handyperson, or similar role

Good practical DIY skills

Experience working within commercial or industrial environments is desirable

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A proactive and reliable approach to work
