Morrison wins £22m Thurrock housing repairs contract

Morrison Facilities Services has won a £22m contract to provide repairs and maintenance services to Thurrock Council, in Essex.

The Anglia Water subsidiary will take on the local authority's responsive repairs and maintenance programme, plus there will be some voids maintenance and construction work on properties.

About 50 % of the work is currently an in-house service and the contract will include for the transfer of staff under the TUPE Regulations.

The five-year contract covers in excess of 10,000 properties.

Morrison will enter into a term partnering contract with Thurrock.
