Wilmslow Plant has been trading since 1946 and all nine staff working at the Stockport site will be retained by Chippindale.

Chippindale has also bought Carrington-based AG Site Services, a provider of steel worksite units, including temporary offices, kitchen/canteens, WCs and storage containers.

Managing director Nigel Chippindale said: “Acquiring Wilmslow is the perfect geographical match and the deal comes at the right time in our expansion programme. Their range of plant and equipment is a mirror image of our own and it will be a seamless fit.

Joint managing directors Peter Chippindale added: “We are very excited by the potential of AG. Offering worksite accommodation to our extensive customer base brings us new opportunities and broadens our range of services. AG has built up an excellent reputation over 30 years and it will continue to trade under its existing name, within the Chippindale Group.”
