Caledonian won the contract through an open market tender process. The single living accommodation (SLA) units are designed to exceed previous standards, providing more spacious and better quality accommodation for RAF Lossiemouth personnel.
The project, which is split across five separate blocks, will provide en-suite rooms, social, communal, and ancillary space for junior ranks, SNCOs and officers alike.
The client’s need to maintain operational readiness at all times, coupled with the remote location of the base, led to the choice of a volumetric modular solution.
Caledonian modules will be supplied more than 90% complete, minimising the works required on site.
In total, Caledonian delivered over 14,000 bed spaces for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) over the past 15 years.
