Glasgow based Lovell chosen for Shettleston Housing Association refurbishment scheme

10 Aug 10 Glasgow based housing regeneration specialist Lovell has been selected by Shettleston Housing Association to carry out a 600,000 programme of internal refurbishment for homes in Shettleston and Greenfield, Glasgow.

The company will modernise 26 houses and 44 flats installing new kitchens and bathrooms and rewiring properties.

Work on the four-month programme will start later this month (August).

The Association’s director Chris Cunningham says: “We are pleased to continue our partnership with Lovell, who have been working with us on external cladding and new windows over the last year.  This contract for internal modernisation work is the latest phase in the delivery of our promises to tenants following the transfer of their homes from Glasgow Housing Association in March 2009.”

“We are delighted to be working with Shettleston Housing Association to undertake this key improvement programme which will create modern homes for residents,” comments Lovell regional director Alan Taylor. Lovell is currently working on a separate scheme for Shettleston Housing Association carrying out external refurbishment work to 13 blocks of flats.
