The bridge carries Route 1 over Fifth Street, Arlington Street, MBTA Commuter Rail, Spruce Street, Carter Street and Orange Street. The contract for Massachusetts Department of Transportation also includes the reconstruction of all approach roadways and the rehabilitation of the Tobin Bridge upper deck over Chelsea Local Streets and Mystic River.
The project architect is HNTB.
Completion is scheduled for July 2021.
