Skanska signs for Stockholm housing complex

15 Jun 17 Skanska has signed a contract worth SEK400m (£36m) to build an apartment complex in Stockholm, Sweden.

The project for Familjebostäder involves the construction of 178 rental apartments in buildings that will be seven to twelve storeys high. There will also be underground parking and ground-floor premises for restaurants and shops.

The new development will provide the first public rented apartments in the emerging Hagastaden district, between Vasastan and the Karolinska University Hospital.

Construction is scheduled to start in August for completion during May 2020.
