We are recruiting 3 full-time, permanent Grounds Maintenance Operatives on behalf of a leading UK green space management provider operating at Gatwick Airport.

About the Role You'll be working as part of a grounds maintenance team responsible for keeping large outdoor areas across Gatwick Airport well maintained and presented to a high standard.

The role will involve a mixture of general grounds maintenance, landscaping and operating machinery. You'll initially work with pedestrian and ride-on equipment, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress onto larger machinery such as tractors and specialist equipment.

You may work across both landside and airside environments, subject to the required airport security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

Grass cutting across large open areas
Strimming
Hedge cutting and shrub maintenance
General grounds maintenance duties
Operating pedestrian and ride-on mowers
Supporting integrated weed management practices
Loading, unloading and looking after equipment
Working safely and following airport and site procedures
Working across landside and airside areas where required

About You We're looking for someone who:

Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in their work
Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions
Is reliable, hardworking and has a positive attitude
Works well as part of a team
Holds a full UK driving licence
Has experience driving light commercial vehicles
Has previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience
Is comfortable working around machinery and equipment

A licence for categories beyond a standard car licence would be advantageous but is not essential.

Full training will be provided for the right candidates.

Due to the nature of the role and working at Gatwick Airport, successful applicants will need to meet the required airport security and clearance requirements.
