Are you an experienced energy and carbon professional looking for your next challenge in a consultancy environment where you can make a tangible difference to sustainability?
I'm working with a leading energy and sustainability consultancy looking to appoint an Energy & Carbon Consultant to support its growing portfolio of commercial clients, helping organisations improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects, apply your technical expertise and work closely with clients to deliver practical, commercially focused sustainability solutions.
ESOS survey and reporting experience is essential for this position.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering energy and carbon projects from analysis through to reporting and recommendations, working with complex datasets to identify opportunities for improved performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting energy and carbon audits, including ESOS surveys and reporting.
Analysing energy, water and carbon data to identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Producing high-quality technical reports, analysis and actionable recommendations.
Managing multiple projects, ensuring delivery against agreed timescales and quality standards.
Building strong client relationships and providing technical advice on energy and carbon management.
Applying relevant UK energy and carbon regulations and frameworks.
Supporting service development, continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to expand client support.
About You
I'm keen to speak with professionals who can demonstrate:
Proven experience conducting ESOS surveys and preparing ESOS reports. This is a must-have requirement.
Experience in energy and/or carbon management, including identifying and quantifying savings opportunities.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
Knowledge of UK energy and carbon legislation, regulations and reporting frameworks.
Experience delivering projects within a consultancy or client-facing B2B environment.
Strong project management, communication and report-writing skills.
The ability to manage your own workload, work independently and build trusted client relationships.
A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in energy, environmental management, sustainability or a related discipline.
What's on Offer?
£40,000-£60,000 salary, depending on experience.
Car allowance and company phone.
Remote working across the UK, with occasional office visits as required.
25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, your birthday off and increased annual leave with service.
Flexible working arrangements, including the opportunity to bank additional days off.
Private medical insurance and Simplyhealth benefits.
Gym contribution, electric vehicle scheme and long-service awards.
Enhanced family leave provisions.
Interested?
If you're an energy professional with strong technical expertise and, crucially, hands-on ESOS survey and reporting experience, I'd love to hear from you.
