A specialist low carbon heating contractor is recruiting two General Labourers / Site Cleaners for decarbonisation projects in Southwark, London. The projects involve replacing gas-fired heating in council buildings with low carbon systems.

Role Overview As a General Labourer/ Site Cleaner You will help keep the sites safe, clean and running smoothly, carrying out general labouring and cleaning duties under the supervision of the site team.

Tasks will vary from day to day, with clear direction provided. You will report to the Site Manager and assist engineers and trades as required.

These temporary positions will last for the length of the projects, with one starting in late October 2026 and the other in early November 2026. The projects are expected to finish between June and July 2027.

Important Eligibility Information To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid CSCS card, Labourer card or above.
• The right to work in the UK.

What You'll Do

• Keep the site, welfare facilities and walkways clean, tidy and safe.
• Move and stack materials, and load and unload deliveries.
• Sort and remove waste in line with the site's recycling rules.
• Assist engineers and trades with general tasks as directed.
• Follow site health and safety rules and wear the appropriate PPE at all times.

Requirements Essential Requirements

• Reliable and punctual.
• Willing to carry out reasonable tasks as directed by the site team.
• Able to undertake physical work, including lifting and carrying.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience on a construction site.

Pay, Hours and Location

• Pay: £150 per day.
• Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm.
• Location: Southwark, London, across two project sites.
• Contract: Temporary, for the length of the projects.
• Positions: Two.
• Start dates: Late October 2026 for one position; early November 2026 for the other.
• Project end dates: June to July 2027.
