A retrofit and energy efficiency contractor is recruiting Electricians to work in domestic properties across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Role Overview

As an Electrician you will install, test and commission Solar PV systems, mechanical ventilation systems and electric storage heaters. The role also involves surveying and designing projects, carrying out electrical modifications and completing work through to final commissioning.

This is a field-based role involving travel to customers' homes. Occasional overnight stays may be required for training, meetings or business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission Solar PV systems.
• Design Solar PV and heating systems to meet customer requirements.
• Install and commission mechanical ventilation systems and electric storage heaters.
• Carry out electrical modifications, including sockets, switches and lighting circuits.
• Test electrical systems, identify faults and carry out repairs.
• Ensure installations comply with MCS requirements, Building Regulations and BS 7671.
• Complete installation documentation and MCS registrations.
• Work with office and installation teams to deliver projects safely and to a high standard.

Essential Requirements

• NICEIC-qualified Electrician.
• 18th Edition (BS 7671:2018).
• At least two years' relevant experience, including installation work in occupied domestic properties.
• Knowledge of Solar PV installations and MCS regulations.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside normal hours or stay away from home when required.

Desirable Experience

• Installing mechanical extract ventilation or electric storage heaters.
• Working with air source heat pumps.
• Testing, fault-finding and commissioning electrical systems.
• BPEC Solar PV qualification.

Salary and Hours

• £40,000-£45,000 per year.
• 38 hours per week.

Interview Process

A screening call followed by a face-to-face interview. The second stage may take place on Teams if needed.
