A specialist decarbonisation contractor is recruiting a Site Manager to oversee installation activities on two leisure centre projects in Southwark, London.

Role Overview As a Site Manager, you will manage the delivery of all installation activities, coordinating supply chain partners and direct employees to maintain a safe working environment and a high standard of installation.

You will work alongside the project delivery team and liaise with design, commercial and health and safety teams to achieve project milestones. The role requires strong communication, commercial awareness and the ability to manage programmes and prioritise work.

This is a site-based role covering Peckham Pulse leisure centre and The Castle Centre. You must be flexible and able to commute to and within the Southwark area.

Important Eligibility Information To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience at a similar level.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable current regulations and the ability to deliver contracts in line with them.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage installation activities, coordinating site teams, supply chain partners and the wider project delivery team to deliver works safely, to a high standard and in line with the agreed programme.
  • Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures are followed throughout the project.
  • Ensure risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are accurately developed and updated to cover all work activities.
  • Liaise directly with clients, customers and other contractors as required.
  • Ensure plant and equipment are procured in line with specifications and client requirements.
  • Work with the commercial team to track material and labour costs against project budgets and provide accurate information for contract variations and monthly claims.
  • Manage supply chain partners, ensuring they meet company requirements and are appropriately engaged through fixed-price JCT contracts.
  • Work with the design team to review drawings and documents against current regulations.
  • Plan and prioritise workloads, working with the wider mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) management team to achieve project programmes and milestones.
  • Where required, survey existing services to identify options for integration with mechanical and electrical (M&E) services and building management system (BMS) control packages.
  • Assist with the preparation of installation drawings, as-installed drawings and operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Carry out other duties reasonably required by management.
Requirements
  • Ability to work as part of a wider delivery team while taking responsibility for all installation activities.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel and works planning software.
  • An organised and structured approach to work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to understand and drive project programmes.
  • A self-motivated and enthusiastic approach.
  • Flexibility and the ability to commute to and within Southwark.
Pay, Hours and Location
  • Salary: £300/day rate
  • Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm.
  • Location: Site-based across two Southwark projects:
    • Peckham Pulse leisure centre, 10 Melon Road, London, SE15 5QN.
    • The Castle Centre, 2 St Gabriel Walk, London, SE1 6FG.
