A retrofit and energy efficiency contractor is recruiting Solar Panel Roofers to work on homes across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Role Overview
As a
Solar Panel Roofer you will carry out roofing repairs and maintenance and install Solar PV mounting systems and panels. You will work as part of an installation team, identifying roofing issues and completing work safely and to a high standard.
The role involves travel across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Occasional overnight stays may be required for training, meetings or business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues on pitched and flat roofs.
- Install and replace tiles, slates, felt, leadwork, ridges and verges.
- Install Solar PV mounting systems and panels in line with industry standards.
- Prepare materials, complete installations and leave work areas safe and tidy.
- Update jobs using company systems, including photographs and job notes.
- Follow health and safety procedures, particularly when working at height.
- Communicate with residents, clients and installation colleagues.
Essential Requirements
- At least two years' roofing experience, including repairs and installations.
- CSCS card.
- PASMA certification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to travel across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside normal hours or stay away from home when required.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of Solar PV installations, mounting systems and MCS regulations.
- Experience using mobile job management systems.
- NVQ Level 2 in a roofing discipline.
- NOCN PV Roofing qualification.
Salary and Hours
- £40,000-£45,000 per year.
- 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Interview Process
A screening call followed by a face-to-face interview. The second stage may take place on Teams if needed.
